This is Book 2 in a series. Read book 1 first – it’s great.
Book 2 is better though. We already know most of the characters having seen them graduate from high school.
Now they have graduated from college and moved back to town.
Some relationships have lasted, others have not, some are being carefully rekindled, some appear to be getting past their sell by date. There’s some really nice, careful depictions of anxiety and mental health and some careful tiptoeing around making friends with characters that did not always behave well in the past.
Needless to say this is a good read. It nicely meshes the English side of some of the characters with the American, and ends up with a bunch of them all in England.
Book 3 comes out in August and I can’t wait.
