This is a fun story set in the run up to Christmas in London.
It is a combination of a best friends to lovers, best friends to enemies, enemies to lovers and a second chance romance all rolled into one. That might sound confusing but it really isn’t. It’s a light hearted, do all the Christmas stuff vicariously through the characters wander through a London Christmas.
Sara and Beth were childhood best friends, lived next door to each other and last Christmas they slept together. Beth then left and went to Spain. Last Christmas they met briefly at a mutual friends wedding. And now she is back and is responsible for Christmas at a large London department store.
She needs a baker to bake in the window and draw in the crowds. Sara is a baker who was trying to sell her baked goods.
What could go wrong?
Well, a lot could and did go right for once.
This book showcases the thought of ‘what if’.
There is much festive jolliness in this story – who wouldn’t be a beacon of festive hope if you were called Sara Snow?
There is of course an epilogue.
Who doesn’t love a Christmas wedding? – well most of the characters in this book.
