Wilson, Kimberly J M – The Actress: The Curious Case of Cordelia Wainwright

This is the new ‘improved’ version, now published by Bella Books (previously self published).
I love this book more now than I did before!
I hate parsnips though.
I may have read the self published version. And the audio book. But this still made me laugh as if I was reading it for the first time.
It’s like meeting up with a friend you haven’t seen for a while. Spending some time with them reminds you of all the reasons you are friends and it’s as if you saw them only yesterday. Effortless, charming, funny and maybe hotter than you remembered them.

I would recommend this book to everyone.
I have the eBook, and the audiobook and I have no doubt I’ll get myself a copy of the new paperback.
I never read books more than once unless I’m researching something. I have now read this book 3 times. If you are in any doubt – I love this book.

This book is excellent.
It tells the story of Cordelia Wainwright. She is an actress that is being interviewed – and then we relive her life with her as she tells the story. We see her in relation to her relationship with Aubrey (her very long suffering girlfriend), Beatrice (her mother), Ophelia ( who is 10 at the start of the book) and Cordelia herself.
It is quite dark in places, it makes you hold your breath because you are anticipating the next thing to happen. I was waiting for it all to fall apart. It is absolutely brilliant, and as the story comes in 4 parts they all mesh together to make one coherent narrative.
There is a further interview at the end of the book when she comes out.
And this isn’t the end of her story – book 2 will be out soon!
