Spalding, Amy – For Her Consideration

This book has been lurking on my kindle for a while – so I decided to read it this week. I wasn’t sure at first if I would like it but at some point I must have actually bought it.
I read this and the sequel in less than 2 days – so yes, I liked it.
The characters felt real. The MC is also not skinny and is happy with herself. Usually there is little mention of characters who cannot afford to go out a lot, dress well etc so having at least some characters on a budget added the realism that the Hollywood setting lacks. Well it doesn’t lack realism, more I can’t compute it.
From a reader’s perspective there is an air of sadness around Nina – which adds to her charm. She seems all alone and then her friends find her and this time they do not let her go.

Epilogue – this just shows a future for her and a celebration. This is quite acceptable.
