Diving Into Her by Alyson Root

This is Book 2 of 3 in the French Connection Series.
This one is my favourite of the 3.
You are already familiar with the main characters, Kim and Helene, and so you get to know them better, whilst retaining Anna and Sam. And of course introducing new ones ready for book 3.
Kim and Helene embark on a will they-won’t they adventure in St Tropez and on Connie the Super Yacht. They battle their demons from previous relationships and Kim’s relationship with her ex, Greg.
The common theme throughout this series is communication. Talk it through as you cannot know what the other is thinking. Share and listen or you don’t know what the intent of an action was.
There is a lot of fear of rejection throughout this story.
This is only heightened when Kim goes to England for a while to see Greg as Helene fears they will reunite. See, communication is key.
They do of course eventually get together and stay together. Sam and Anna get married in this book providing continuity of character but also a venue for part of Kim and Helene’s story to unfold.

The epilogue – this is 3 years later. They are still together and spending time doing their own thing as well as together. There is of course a proposal.

Again one of the best things about this series is the easy familiarity with the area and French culture which shines through. There is also a lot of diving knowledge, or some intense research has taken place.
