Rose, Ellie – Mandi’s Little Mother’s Day: A holidays at Rawhide Ranch Story

I didn’t really pay attention when I downloaded this book. I read that the MC was autistic and looked forward to reading it.
I opened it and read the first few pages and thought What the Actual Fuck am I reading?!
I closed it down and went and did a little research. I am much wiser now.
Then I went back and read the book.
I liked the fact that being autistic and trying to find her lost little was not equated as being autistic and immature/childish. It is very different and was clearly written as different.
Everything was suitably respectful and encouraging of communication and finding out/knowing what you want and following your own path. I love the normalisation of stimming and masking.
And yet again – a red head.
I liked the explanation of Amelia being demi and what that meant for them. And also a librarian. Who wouldn’t like librarian and all that book knowledge?

Epilogue
This was a look into the future – beyond the original short stay planned at the ranch so we could see the progression of the story. It was acceptable, particularly given the story’s short length.
