I came back to read this after reading Mai Tais and Murder, so I could catch up with how they met etc (even though I had figured it out from MTaM).
This was a fun novella – showing how they met and got together. I like the age representation, the fact that life doesn’t have to stop at retirement and the portrayal of the 2 characters. A medical issue throws a spanner in the works for their future plans – but then it is all sorted out and life can begin again for them.
There’s research and knowledge about camping, tumours and anaemia in there too – hopefully not first hand.
Hopefully they will be out solving mysteries for years to come as this could be the start of something good.
