Ransom to Love

This is an interesting book – as it does not follow the normal romance pattern. In fact when I started reading it, I doubted that it would be a romance. There is a lot of talk about computers and hacking to begin with – and some suspense. But the hacking leads to the romance – how unlikely!
It’s told from the point of view of the hacker. They are a rounded person though – unlike some of the ideas people have about computer geeks. I liked the trans story line as it was just part of it – and not a big deal. Just a normal thing to happen – needing to come out as trans as well as gay sounds quite exhausting. The emotions of this and the way that it plays out are interesting as part of the story. It is good to see a trans character not having a spotlight shone on them for it, but it just being a part of the character and not a major plot point.
And there is another book that looks at the life of one of the side characters. So look out for that one too.
