Geoffrey, Charlie – Boss Undercover

This is an excellent debut – set in the UK.
Ashley and Chloe meet at work. Chloe is the cleaner who comes in after everyone has finished – Ashley the business consultant frequently works late.
Both have a history that influences their actions and behaviour but also the way others behave around them. Chloe has a 3 year old son whose needs dictate her working hours and the way she spends her free time.
They build a friendship and Ashley realises that Chloe is talented and is far better at ‘people’ than she is.
It’s a lovely story – with more than enough misunderstandings, lack of communication and worries to keep the reader entertained.
There is of course an epilogue.
This is set 4 months later. Everything is sorted, and life is of course wonderful for all.
But it is nice to see characters complementing each other and healing past trauma.

This is someone to watch out for.

If you sign up for her newsletter there is also a novella Learning To Love You.
This is a story featuring 2 students in Brighton. It’s a good read and it appears to be due a follow up.
