I quite liked this story.
It is set in a magic town, which appears to be in USA and protected by spells to ensure other non magic people do not think about relocating there.
Evan left the town to go to college and to get away from the magic and live somewhere else. She has now returned.
Halloween is of course the major holiday in the town and festivities are the main event of the year.

This is billed as a second chance romance – when Evan left she seemed to have been in love with Delilah – on her return she aims for another chance with her.

There is not an epilogue as such but there is a gap of a year before the story resumes, showing the reader how the women are integrated into the magic.

When I finished reading this I was kind of hoping that there were more stories set in this world but I haven’t found any. That’s a shame.
This story is quite short and I thought there was scope for more.
