I enjoyed this book as it has dogs, lesbians and the word discombobulated in it. I’m not normally that fussed by Christmas but I am open to persuasion.
The opening scene sort of horrified me – what a thing to experience with no real explanation to the character.
I thought the family relationships worked really well, and the idea of the King and Queen for fundraising purposes was pure genius – as was the gentle nudge for them to both be elected and to do a bunch of activities together.
It removed the awkwardness between them and prolonged exposure to Sammi removed the woman that Keegan had started dating as there was no match.
The epilogue is a year later and an extended family dinner with ideas about a future.
