I enjoyed this. A crime with 2 best friends in love with each other who will not tell the other as it could spoil their friendship.
This is set in America but some of the language reveals it’s a Brit that wrote it – which is not a problem for me.
It is a novella so not as much space to tell the story in. Factor in she has written a crime that needs to be solved as well as a romance – this does not give too much space for either. Sometimes the language is a little flowery for my liking – but I try and pay attention to the words used when I read.
The crime solving bit reminded me a little of Scooby Doo – and I mean that as a compliment – it is definitely not a criticism. I think it is when the criminal gets found out and is unmasked – and there are several people in this story wearing costumes.

I liked it and I shall read more of her books..
