Now this is a mafia book that kept me entertained and engaged all the way from the beginning to the end. And it looks to maybe be the first in a series so there could well be more to come.
The main characters are a married couple – so there isn’t a traditional romance to relationship sub plot involving them but the story will not disappoint.
The characters are well rounded and work together and the story has plot and more twists and turns that my head knew what to do with. Fight scenes are well choregraphed – I could follow them easily in my head and know what was happening. It could easily have been sterile hand to the right, gun shot, roll over etc but it wasn’t.
There’s evidence of good research or knowledge, with snakes, guns and kitchen and restaurant life.
I have to say when the characters say that they not big readers they prefer to experience life and make memories – I felt that burn.
There is lots of violence and death in this book and plenty of emotions.
Be prepared to experience them all.

There is an epilogue – which shows life 1 year later.
They were already happily married at the beginning.
