Dvorak, Jolie – Enthralled in Her Design

Having read The Nightingale and the Rose I thought I would read another Jolie Dvorak book.
This is more of a billionaire meets dancer so maybe not what I was expecting but I enjoyed it anyway.
How do you go from being paid to give a private dance to a proposal? Well, there will be some ups and downs.
There seems to be a lot of research in this book – architecture, business, Japan. It’s worth reading just for the Japanese culture alone.
The characters do seem to have quite a lot to say about their opinions of women who dance in clubs for a living – not all of it nice. But they are challenged on it.
It is interesting how some things change in the world though – when this was published it was the height of modern luxury to send a Tesla to collect someone – nowadays you wouldn’t do that if you were trying to make any sort of decent impression!
The grandma character is a hoot!
