I rather liked this book.
It is unconventional, thought provoking, sometimes brutal, and has the reader hoping for a happy ending. And then it holds the characters in the palm of the author’s hand and you have to wait for the next book to get to the real ending – the Happy Ever After (hopefully).
The story starts in 2019 in Canada and it is hard to see where any happiness can be found. Brutal scenes of physical and emotional domestic abuse make is seem as though there is no way out.
Then we move forward 5 years and see the characters again as they unexpectedly come across each other. The long road is more than bumpy.
Now eagerly awaiting the rest of the story in Book 2!
