This was a really interesting, unusual book.
This story follows Amber and Riley as they meet and tentatively begin a relationship. Amber is a photographer who considers herself to have a gift – like kind of a psychic medium.
Amber is staying in the area and sees a house – an old Victorian out on its own but it appears to change as and when she sees it. Each time she sees it it shows her a little more of itself.
Amber feels a connection with the property and explores the history of it and the previous owners.
The story of the house and it’s people unravels and meets the story of Amber and her people.
There has been research into the underground railway network and the people that were helped by it.

There is of course an epilogue.
This shows the work started on turning the house/site into a new project to help queer youth getting underway. And there may have been a proposal.

I enjoyed this book. It was interesting, including history that I was not too familiar with, and also the psychic stuff which I think gave the book a unique aspect.
