I listened to this driving around for a week on 1.4 speed. So I heard little bits at a time making it a little fragmented. I knew I liked it though when I was looking for reasons to have to drive somewhere. (Of course I could just had stuck my headphones on and listened indoors but that is not something that normally happens in the house).
The story is an age gap, taboo (ish) romance and works well. I quite enjoyed the secretive nature of their relationship when they were both denying to their trusted confidante that they were not and did not want to be dating (whilst all the time actually dating and wanting to be together). I liked the tension of them trying not to get caught but I also liked the twist in the tale (which I shall not discuss) that popped up.
It was a sort of feel good story that I enjoyed. And there is quite a lot of sex in it – but isn’t that what an age gap relationship is all about at the beginning?!
The only problem I had was that not having actually laid eyes on the words I still have no idea what town Erin lived in as I couldn’t figure it out!
There is an epilogue and this amused me greatly.
