I enjoyed this.
This story, as might be gathered by the cover, is about Alex, a news reporter, who is closeted at work, refusing to come out as she was traumatised by her friend coming out many years back. She is adamant that she does not want/do relationships.
She heads off out of town to cover a story with a male camera man, who has repeatedly asked her out. She is, as you would expect, not interested.
The story is in Palm Springs – and she has to stay at a lesbian motel. Now I had to google this to see of there was such a thing – and there is! I’ve never much wanted to go to USA (especially now) but I could maybe be persuaded now.
Anyway, I digress.
She of course meets someone there and it changes her whole perspective on life.
The story that they are covering isn’t too bad – but it’s just a vehicle for the real story of Alex and Jane, and why coming out is not going to be a bad thing for her and her career.

Unfortunately there is no epilogue – but the story doesn’t really need it.
