This story features a character from For Her Consideration, And I like the continuity. I know something about her and her world already. Other characters pop up time and time again throughout it also. All good.
There’s a reference to Elphaba in Wicked – I liked that too.
At some point in this book the MC Max has to yes to everything she is offered. The notion of doing this in life and seeing where it takes you has fascinated me since I read Luke Reinhart’s The Diceman when I was a teenager. This is not as dark though – there are no deaths associated with the Yes in this book.
I really enjoyed this book. As I said I read the 2 books in less than 2 days.

The Epilogue – this was a moving on in the story. A realisation that in order to have the life she wanted she did not need anything other than to believe in herself. A most important thing to remember in life.

I recommend these books. If nothing else they will remind you to live your life for you and nobody else.
