Everyone needs to read this book*. It is heart breaking.
One moment it swoops you up as high as you can go, then bam! It cuts you lose and you plummet.
How anyone can do that using just the regular words found in a dictionary is astounding.
I loved The Senator’s Wife trilogy so saw this and thought it was a must read. I still agree with that but woah!
It’s been a while since I have seen ‘twp’ in a book though. I love the Welsh content. And the horses. And the triathlon. There is such a lot of knowledge casually written into this love story.
And the ending – the first is a pretty accurate portrayal of the aftermath. The second – what should/could have been. A clever idea – definitely needed to soften the blow.
I know this is fiction but I read it yesterday and it was the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning. I shall add this to the list of books that will forever live on in my head.
