Sea Glass by Ami Spencer

I’ve enjoyed all of Ami Spencer’s books so far – and this one is no exception.
This one features Max and and Madeline – who first meet when Madeline returns flowers to the florist shop that Max owns (her ex is bombarding her with flowers and she can’t take anymore of it).
Then they meet for no strings sex on an app and hit it off – in a no strings kind of way.
I like how this story accepts each of them for who they are – and they accept each other. Both of them have issues relating to how they have been treated/perceived in the past and they are so good for each other.
As both have stated they want sex only with no feelings we can watch them develop that into a friendship and then a relationship – while they are still adamant they don’t do feelings.
There is exploration of feelings, body image issues, gender fluidity and exploration.
It is a thoroughly enjoyable story and the characters are as always well rounded and their behaviour sticks to how they have been sold to us, the reader.
There is of course an epilogue set 1 year later.
This shows us their way forward, which shows them together but true to their own boundaries.
I absolutely recommend this – but even though you can read this and know what is going on, I would always recommend you read the other books in this series first:
